As many as 14 million Australian voters will cast their votes today in national elections. Two strong candidates are Julia Gillard, the first woman prime minister, and Tony Abott representing conservative groups.
This election is predicted to be tight. A poll shows a very close vote result. Gillard from the labor party is seeded with the acquisition of 50.2 percent of the vote, while Abott of the coalition Liberal Party / National pocketed 49.8 percent.
These results are not much different from Nielsen poll conducted which favor the Labour party than the Liberal / National by acquisition 52:48.
Gillard benefited from the growing popularity rise since he was surprisingly elected as Prime Minister last June, replacing Kevin Rudd.
48-year-old woman who was a lawyer's promise to improve services in education and health, do not miss his efforts to improve the economy. While the 52-year-old Abott makes the problem of illegal immigrants as an effort to boost voter sympathy.
